UPSC அறிமுகம் - Prelims

சிவில் சர்விஸ் தேர்வுகள் மூன்று நிலையாக நடத்தப்படுகின்றன. ஒவ்வொரு நிலையிலும் உங்களுடைய திறமைகள் பரிசோதிக்கப்படுகின்றன.

முதல் நிலை (Prelims):

இதில் இரண்டு பரிட்சைகள் நடத்தப்படும் (ஒரே நாளில்). Paper I (General Studies) and Paper II (CSAT - Aptitude Test).

General Studies 1 : 

100 கேள்விகள் - 200 மதிப்பெண்கள்
தவறான பதில்களுக்கு 0.66 மதிப்பெண்கள் குறைக்கப்படும் (மூன்று கேள்விகளுக்குத் தவறாக பதில் அளித்தால் ஒரு சரியான பதிலின் மதிப்பு போய் விடும். 3 * 0.666 = 2 Marks).

Paper I - (200 marks) Duration : Two hours

􀀠 Current events of national and international importance.
􀀠 History of India and Indian National Movement.
􀀠 Indian and World Geography - Physical, Social, Economic Geography of India and the World.
􀀠 Indian Polity and Governance - Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights Issues, etc.
􀀠 Economic and Social Development - Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector initiatives, etc.
􀀠 General issues on Environmental Ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change - that do not require subject specialisation
􀀠 General Science.

Paper II (CSAT)

􀀠 Comprehension
􀀠 Interpersonal skills including communication skills;
􀀠 Logical reasoning and analytical ability
􀀠 Decision-making and problemsolving
􀀠 General mental ability
􀀠 Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude, etc.) (Class X level), Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc. - Class X level)

இந்த இரு கேள்வித் தாள்களும் ஆங்கிலம் மற்றும் இந்தி ஆகிய இரு மொழிகளில் இருக்கும். அடுத்த ஆண்டிலிருந்து தமிழ் போன்ற பிற பிராந்திய மொழிகளிலும் வரலாம். அவ்வாறு வந்தால் நிச்சயம் நமக்கு நன்மையே. குறிப்பாக இரண்டாம் தாள் Comprehensionல் நம்மால் வேகமாக படிக்க முடியும். ஆனால் அதிலும் கூகுள் ட்ரான்ஸ்லேட்டர் சொதப்ப வாய்ப்பிருக்கிறது.

நாங்கள் இதற்கு படித்த புத்தகங்களின் பட்டியலையும், படித்த முறைகளையும் பின்னால் விவரிக்கிறேன். மாதிரி கேள்வித் தாள்களைப் பார்த்து பயப்பட வேண்டாம்.
